Snail Gel, Aloe Vera and strong nails – a weekend in for one snail gel moisture mask

Can you remember your last pamper day? When I can spare some time out for myself I smother on a face mask, neaten my nails, lather on body cream and really take care of myself. This sets me up for a positive week ahead and confident new me!

Dr.Organic Snail Gel

Strange this one isn’t it? And yes, it does contain snail slime! It’s received rave reviews everywhere, with celebrities confessing to using this treatment for slowing down the ageing process. I was so excited to see the results of this mask and I can honestly say that I’ve seen a beautiful difference in my now renewed skin. And too right it has, because the properties in the gel are known for really healing the skin unusually quickly! I thought I’d blog about this mask after the second week of using it to note comparisons, but it’s continuous with the results.

Whenever you try on a face mask, I find that 9 times out of 10, the feel and appearance of your skin changes instantly as soon as it’s removed – which is a good thing. But for that reason it’s difficult to differentiate between all the masks out there, how do you know which one works the best? The results of the Snail Gel last for what looks like longer than a week and now I love my skin! Definitely seeing a much more healthy and cleaner glow.

If you read my previous post on The Body Shop’s Aloe Vera mask, I talk about much it hydrates my face and soothes it from any irritation. With this gel I get the right amount of everything – just take a look at the ingredients! snail gel moisture mask ingredients

Dr.Organic Aloe Vera Gel

I think I’m becoming quite the fan for Aloe Vera, something so natural in its purest form is always good, so it’s definitely reassuring to have on my bedside desk. I’ve used this for 2 weeks now and it’s just refreshing anywhere on the skin. I would say it’s a perfect replacement for your body cream/lotion, but it’s also slightly expensive to be using everyday after a shower. So I tend to use it sparingly, particularly on the most driest parts of my skin, i.e. elbows and knees. I also use a little on my face where it’s dry before I go to sleep. The gel sinks right in and leaves your skin feeling like silk. You’ll notice a difference within a few days when used correctly. Nothing but good things to say about Aloe Vera! aloe vera gel

Sally Hanson Double Duty

With a premium brand like Sally’s, her products are well worth the spend. There’s nothing like getting your money’s worth, especially if quality is what you’re looking for. I’ve bought a few base / top coats in the past, but this is by far the best! After recently getting gel overlays done (own nails painted) I was amazed with the results after removing them. My nails had grown obviously, but they became a lot more durable and I wanted to maintain that. 4 weeks on and they’re still going strong!
