It’s not every day that I get to wear eyeshadows and eyeliners. When I do, I make sure I share what I’ve done with you! Whether that’s posting a picture on my Instagram or expressing my excitement through this blog.
I’ve had these palettes for a while, I’m using the Urban Decay Show Pony eyeshadow palette and the Collection Work the Colour smokey eye palette. I went for softer looking eyes, opting for grey-silver, brown and a hint of black.
So what I did to create this look was first to prime the eyes with my L’Oreal eye primer. Starting with the Collection palette, I picked up the grey shade on the bottom row (2) and I applied this as the base, but only up until the centre of the eyelid.
I then added the brown shade called ‘Toasted’ from the Urban Decay palette on the outer corner of the eyes and went over it with the copper shade called ‘Snatch’ to define the crease. With the tiniest amount of the glittery black from my Collection palette, I then dabbed this in the outer corners just to give the eyes some definition/lift for that very subtle brown-black smokey look.
To get the shimmer in the inner corner of my eyes, I went over the grey with the silver shade (1) in row 2 from the Collection palette.
Now that the eyeshadow is complete, the look is never finalised without the finishing touches of winged eyeliner and coats of mascara. I had to double check that I wasn’t wearing eyelashes when I looked at my pictures again, as it looks like I am when my eyes are closed! Proud to say that my Estee Lauder Double Wear Zero-Smudge Lengthening Mascara does the trick! I love going for a thick wing and here I’m using the Bourjois Clubbing liner in ultra black. I flicked it out with two small flicks at the end, if you look closely you can see this ever so sightly.
And there you go! There are no touch-ups or edits done on these pictures either, so if you guys want to know what I’m wearing on my face, shout down below and I’ll reveal all 🙂 .
