It’s that time of night and here I am sitting with a bowl (not full) of Malteasers and a glass of milk. Yes, not good. BUT I haven’t cheated all week so I’ll allow myself, although I’m pretty sure it’s doing my teeth no favours!
Anyway, if you’ve been following me on Instagram, you’ll have noticed I’m beginning to post some ‘outfit of the day’ looks, especially for work. I thought this would be a nice change as I always put 100% in my presentation for work, so I was in the kitchen the other morning and thought, why not share?!
My typical signature is classy but with an edge. So here are two outfits I wore this week. Let me know what you think!
Excuse the mess in the second picture! The funny thing is, the top is actually from Asos in petite and I am definitely not that! It is quite small to be honest, slightly uncomfortable but still fits! The weather in the UK is starting to brighten up, so I matched this with a skirt from H&M, but I chose this particular one due to the zip detail around the waist and topped it off with a leather jacket. The shoes are from Kurt Geiger, they are soooo cute! Not sure if you can see, but they have miniature gold spikes/studs at the front 🙂 .
I had this outfit on today and I’ve got to say, you can’t go wrong with some loud and plain bottoms and a printed top (vice versa too) but either way, if you stick to this rule you can totally rock this out at work and I’ll guarantee you everyone will notice! I’m wearing Ted Baker on my feet, LOVE these shoes – obviously! I’m pretty sure I’ve worn them throughout autumn and winter. My bottoms are from Zara, one of my favourite stores! And again, the zip detail at the top just made all the difference. You would think I got the top there too, but you’re wrong…
Have a guess ;-)..
I decided to go with my gut instinct and add some creamy purple eyes using my Sleek Primer Palette 600. I started off with the purple and darkened the corners of my eyes and dragged it down to the bottom of my lower lashes so you notice the instant pop of colour, I then took some baby pink which I lightly patted and feathered towards the inner corners of my eyes. It’s important you go very subtle on the face when choosing a loud outfit, especially for the office and trust me it all pays off in the end!
This is totally unrelated, but it makes sense not to post this separately as I recently had a logo designed for SIMI’S BEAUTY BOX and wanted to show you because I’m super excited! Take a look at my gravatar, what do you think? I also have my future business logo designed which I’ve added below 🙂 .
Hope you enjoyed reading this post, but if there’s anything you’d like to ask or mention, please feel free to comment below!
Lots of beauty kisses xXx
