Sunshine. Dewy faces, twinkling eyes and a boost in mood. Even when we’re living in our autmn/winter months and the sun is non-existent, we can still achieve that summer time look… All we need are the right tools.
I love a good highlighter, it brings out my best features and enhances them a little bit more. I generally use two forms of highlighters, I have a small highlighting palette with a mixture of subtle shimmers: gold, silver and white (I will be revealing and reviewing this product in a future post). And a highlighting pen that I integrate with my highlighting and contouring routine.
If you have dark circles/areas on the face, the L’Oreal Lumi Magique concealer ensures that they’re covered because when the product is blended into the skin, it looks very neutral. You don’t look like a ghost, nor do you look like a peach. As a result, I feel that this combination cancels out my grey-ness and perks me up during the daytime. I would say that this product is similar to my favourite highlighter – the YSL Touche Eclat highlighting pen, but nothing can completely take YSL’s place just yet!
Even though this is a concealer, I double this up as a highlighter and apply this on: the bridge of my nose, on the chin, underneath the arch of my brows and outside the corners of mouth.
- Creamy, easy to blend
- Brightens up skin
- Great for natural coverage
- Doesn’t dry the area of skin
- Attractive packaging – gold tube
- Liquid not thick enough to get a decent coverage
- Need to re-apply for a better/slightly heavier coverage
- Runs out quickly
So, if you’re looking for a thicker coverage, this may not exactly be the product for you, but if you need a concealer or highlighter (as well in my case) then it is possible to build up coverage with only a light to medium result. Overall, not a brilliant review, but it definitely has some plus points if the above pro’s are suited to you.
