So this post is long overdue but nevertheless, it still needs to be told!
I went to my first IMATS exhibition on 29 June in London and it was sooo amazing! For those who don’t know what IMATS is, firstly it stands for International Makeup Artist Trade Show, a place for all makeup enthusiasts to discover what the industry has to offer. Entry was £45 and you purchase your ticket online beforehand otherwise it will cost you a whopping £60 at the door! However, I have to say my £45 was worth every penny. All exhibitors offer you products at a discounted rate so if you need to splurge I think this is the best time to. ESPECIALLY if you’re an aspiring makeup artist like moi.
I went a little crazy on expenditure, but I’ll list and show you what I bought at the bottom of this post, but here are some pictures I took at the event.
So that’s pretty much what IMATS looks like, but now to show you my purchases! All products were bought carefully and are for my kit 🙂
I think I went Make up Forever crazy! Worth it though. I bought the following:
Make up Forever HD foundations in shades: N115, N155, N117
Make up Forever Rouge Artist Natural lipstick in BohemeMake up Forever Mist & Fix make-up setting spray
Make up Forever HD primer
MAC Pro longwear paint pot in Groundwork
MAC Pro palette large [Powder blushes in: Style and Trace Gold
RCMA 18 shade foundation/concealer palette (VK #11)
OCC lip tar / matte in Rollergirl
INGLOT palette and concealer shades in: Yellow, LC400, DW200, LW300, DC400
Crown brushes in: C406 DUO FACE & C436 DUO FIBER BLENDER
Ben Nye luxury powder in Banana
So that sums up my experience and if you’re not aware of this international event, I suggest you go to one that is happening near you although I’m pretty sure they occur once a year! You’ll find more information on the IMATS website, but I can’t stress how overwhelming the whole trip was AND I went on my own! Eeek!
Hope you guys enjoyed the pictures!
