Why I love Illamasqua’s blush in Thrust

illamasqua thrust blusher

It’s taken me a long time to find the best blusher for myself and I’ve finally bought it! *Huge sigh of relief*. I wore this pop of colour whilst raiding my best friend’s makeup collection last year. First impressions, I thought the shade was really bold, daring and over the top, but after I brushed on a little, it took a matter of seconds to fall in love with it.

Illamasqua’s blusher in the shade Thrust is so pretty and seriously a sight for sore eyes! A little takes you a long way, unless you’re going for something really dramatic. It finishes clean, flawless and matte, you just need a dab and a sweep of this product slightly above the apple of your cheeks, blend it in and you’ll be set all day.

Illamasqua are known for their rich pigments and that’s one reason I continue to shop there. If you think contouring creates the perfect face, adding a quality blusher can bring you even more depth. I would always apply this blusher over a good base first, i.e. foundation and concealer, contour, highlight etc. as this is when it best glides over for a smoother appearance. AND always as the last step of your make-up routine.

It’s hard to tell what shade will suit you, but when you find the right one you’ll notice straight away. Top tip – go with a blusher which matches your lip colour, you’ll be amazed at the impact it can give to your overall complexion.

Love,

Simi x

Wow it looks beautiful! I don’t own any purple toned blushes but I’ve read that purples are perfect for brightening the complexion! Will have to check this out, thank you! <3 🙂 x
