Protein is essential for growth. I’m not talking about muscle growth in particular, but in general, it is the foundation and building block for bones, skin and blood. I can tell you that ever since I’ve been eating a high protein diet, my nails and hair have experienced a huge difference in growth. So baring this in mind I wanted to tell you why a couple of eggs and some olive oil works so well as part of my DIY hair care routine.
Super rich in protein, essential fats and vitamins, there is actually nothing more your hair craves. I have very thick and long hair so I used two eggs and two tablespoons of olive oil with a dash of water to dilute (you can adjust according to your hair type). Whisk together and work the mixture starting from the scalp and then towards the ends of your hair. It can get a little messy but once it’s on, bear with it until 15-20mins are over 🙂 .
When time is up, ensure that your hair is thoroughly washed otherwise you’ll find bits of egg tangled in your hair after a shower (known from experience!) After a couple of days, you’ll seriously feel and notice a difference in your hair with it being strong and healthy.
Just to let you know, the last time I applied this was late November. Due to the amazing results of this egg and oil hair mask, there is no need to apply weekly. Remember – keep a track of your food diary and include plenty of high protein foods in your diet to get the best results overall.
