So not too long ago I decided to pop into my local cosmetics store as I had run out of liquid eyeliner. I’ve always relied on the usual liquid eyeliners, but not this time! I opted for the liquid felt and I’m so glad I did!
Just like any other makeup junkie, I didn’t stop at the one, I ended up buying a few other pieces which I wanted to experiment with too.
I must have tried about 20 liquid eyeliners before I purchased the Maybelline New York Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner. As soon as I swatched it I was immediately drawn to it. The pigment is super rich and the application is smooth which makes life so much easier. If you take a look at the results of my eyes, even when the pen is drawn on tight to the lash line (without mascara) I can see how my lashes appear more fuller than usual. The beauty of this product is that with this sort of precision, you can use the pen in more ways than one!
Now take a look at the Maybelline Master Drama Kohl Eyeliner Pencil, the colour pay off is amazing! The application is creamy, thick and delicate as it glides onto the skin, and once again the pigment is deeper than your average black pencil eyeliner.
Last but not least, I picked up this Maybelline expression Kajal in number 37 green because I’m really into the pop of colour look, particularly for the office. I don’t like to wear heaps of eye makeup to work, it’s a definite no-no rule for me. But what I do like to do is play with one colour around the eyes and it’s as simple as this…
That’s just one example, and in case you’re wondering I used the Barry M Kohl Pencil in blue number 19.
What I decided to do, is layer the green underneath the black khol and this made the overall look more dramatic, yet not too powerful as I haven’t applied any eyeshadow on my lids. I also smudged out the outer corner of my eyes using a small sponged pencil. Great for a simple summer look.
The other two products I’ve left out are the BaByliss foam sleep -in rollers and the Lipcote. However, I’ll be blogging about the rollers in a separate post as I’m going to be reviewing the Amika curling tongs with it too! The Lipcote will be added into my makeup kit :).
Hope this post was useful, drop me your thoughts below if you have any! Until next time…
