Wow, it takes me a long time to get through a bottle of foundation I’ll tell you, when i made this purchase, I was excited!
Current skin situation
I have combination skin, which means an oily T-zone and fairly dry/normal around my cheeks. As of late, I’ve been using less moisturiser on my T-Zone to control oil and because this foundation results in a matte looking finish due to its anti-shine properties, I realised that this foundation would be well-suited to my needs.
I love the fact that this foundation actually has colour correctors! Saves you from adding separate colours for those annoying problem areas. You have green for redness, mauve for grey and yellow for dark circles. It really evens my skin out making it appear flawless, no need to double up with product as with just a small amount, it works absolute wonders. This combination has saved me time and trouble because it’s incredibly easy for concealing and its light formula doesn’t even make the foundation obvious!
One of the main reasons why I favoured this particular foundation was because I wanted an anti-shine foundation, all my previous foundations have been slightly more thicker and dewy. However, this is definitely too dry for me to use for my face which results in patchy areas around my cheeks. I only apply this around my T-Zone and eye area and it has proved to be much more effective, a huge, huge difference when it comes to the end of the day! By the way, there’s a very gentle smelling scent to this formula, it smells lovely, but not strong at all and it definitely stays fresh throughout the whole day. I love the packaging also – it’s a classy looking bottle!
All in all, I would not use this for my entire face, a bit of mix and matching with my Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation is just the right balance needed for me. That’s because I prefer the dewy look around the cheek area, which always goes well with a pretty bronzer/highlighter.
Wearing foundation can be a sensitive matter. Some like to wear it heavy and others light. We all have different preferences, hopefully this post gives you a better insight as to what this foundation is like, especially for those with similar skin type to me. Something to consider for summer perhaps?
